Increase in prices of noche buena food items
DTI URGES PUBLIC: BUY NOW
THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) alerted consumers of the noted increase in prices of some Noche Buena products, three months before the holiday season and urged households to begin purchasing the non-perishable items before the prices increase for the family tradition.
In its latest statement Wednesday, September 21, DTI recorded a P5 to P65 increase in traditional products for noche buena, including mayonnaise, ham, cheese, spaghetti sauce, fruit cocktail, pasta noodles, and many more.
The price increases, however, are still within DTI’s suggested retail price (SRP).
The agency also advised the public to buy package packs to save on their purchases.
The DTI also advised the public that prices are still going to go up with the demand increasing as the holiday season comes near. (Ahikam Pasion)
