THE Sangguniang Panlungsod asked Mayor Brian Lim in a resolution for copies of the Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) between the Dagupan City Water District and Pamana Water Corporation to shed light on the details for the protection of the water consumers.

Resolution No. 7810-2021 authored by Councilor Michael Fernandez and seconded by Councilor Marcelino Fernandez, was passed after it received a letter from Dr. Voltaire Emiliano Tada-Siapno, DCWD chairman, informing the SP that a copy of the document and all its annexes were already furnished the City Mayor’s Office.

In his letter to the SP, Siapno-Tada said the copy furnished City Mayor’s Office “served as the official copy of the Local Government Unit” and urged the SP to direct its request to the office of Mayor Lim.

Siapno-Tada was responding to SP Resolution No. 7789-2021 on February 2 inquiring from Pamana Water Corporation the rate of increase it recently announced for the benefit of consumers.

The SP on March 22 had written to DCWD to submit a copy of the investment agreement and the Joint Venture Agreement entered into as well as the board resolution pertaining to the agreement by and between Pamana and DCWD. (Leonardo Micua)
