SOME 50 non-hospital medical frontliners were inoculated by the San Carlos City government during the roll out at the Arenas-Resuello Sports and Civic Center on March 23, Tuesday.

City Information Officer Jhuliano Nazareno said the city government aims to vaccinate 300 to 400 individuals daily once more vaccines become available for the residents.

Nazareno said five more vaccine sites near rural health units will be used to be able to immunize more individuals, as the city has the greatest number of populations in the province.

So far, the city only received 140 additional doses of AstraZeneca vaccines from the Department of Health for their medical frontliners.

Dagupan City was the first to set up a vaccination in a non-medical facility.

Meanwhile, the city government used 452 doses of Sinovac vaccines to inoculate all medical frontliners at the four private hospitals on Monday, March 22. The remaining 23 vaccines be given to other frontline workers in the city.

Moreover, Nazareno said they have developed a smart, efficient and intuitive LGU-Based Vaccine System that would ease the inoculation screening process in the city: upon registration, the patient will be given a quick response (QR) identification that will be scanned during the inoculation of the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

“Through the system, we are able to monitor the real-time status of a vaccinated person such as where he has been inoculated and when is his next schedule,” he said.

The city government is targeting to inoculate 150,000 residents. (Jerick Pasiliao)
