First 2 days of 2021: 54 new confirmed cases

FOR the record, Pangasinan has started year 2021 with 2,826 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 2,377 recovered, and a death toll of 113.

And the count started with 54 new confirmed COVID-19 cases recorded in Pangasinan during the first two days of 2021, three on January 1 and 51 on January 2, and as expected, more than 50 percent of these were in Dagupan City.

As gleaned further from the monitoring of the Provincial Health Office (PHO), there were 16 patients that recovered on January 1 and another 21 patients on January 2. No death was recorded over the first two days of 2021.

With 26 new confirmed cases in Dagupan City by January 2 (one on January 1 and 25 on January 2), the city starts the year as still the epicenter of the contagion in Pangasinan with 123 active cases. (Leonardo Micua)
