Espino: EECQ effective till April 7

DUE to a spike in the number of COVID-19 cases in Pangasinan, Gov. Amado Espino III extended the Extreme Enhanced Community Quarantine in the province that was supposed to have ended March 31 for a week or more.

His Executive Order No. 0016-2020 extended the effectivity of EO No. 0015-2020 and EO No. 0015 -2020-B (originally set to expire on March 31) to midnight of April 7.

When he signed the latest EO, the number of COVID-19 cases in Pangasinan was only 13 with five deaths. The following day, March 31, the confirmed COVID-19 cases rose to 15 with six deaths.

In his EO, he ordered that returning residents of the province not to return home until the EECQ is lifted.

All ordered, rules, and regulations issued/promulgated by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF)  and/or concerned national government offices/agencies were adopted and all his previous issuances and/or by component LGUs, which are not in contravention of the IATF Resolutions and its member agencies have been ordered to be made applicable in supplementary manner.

Under the EECQ, no one can enter or exit in the province unless he is an authorized government official or employee, frontliners and/or personnel dealing with  essential services needed during the current crisis situation.

Trucks loaded with food items going into and out of the provinces and even those passing through Pangasinan shall not be hampered, he said. (Leonardo Micua)
