San Fabian annual bikefest set on Jan. 18
AFTER five years of successful stagings of the annual San Fabian bikefest during the celebration of its town fiesta, the town is set to hold its sixth edition on January 28.
It will feature anew the Pangasinan cycling standouts as in previous years.
Dubbed this year as “6th Mayor Agbayani Cup
Asipukpokan ed San Fabian Cycling Challenge,” the two-categorized bikefest
(open road race and mountain bike) will start across the municipal hall of the
host town and will traverse the San Fabian-Damortis, La Union national highway
twice before winding up in the mountain of Barangay Inmalog at the Bikers’ Den
with an approximate distance of 74 kilometers.
“The bikefest is one of our ways to contribute annually to the development of
cycling in the province that the we are well-known for then and until now,”
quipped the sports-minded town’s chief executive Constante Agbayani.
Cash prizes, trophies and
medals are at stake with maximum of 80 contestants. (Jesus Garcia, Jr.)
