FORMER Councilor Vladimir Mata is back as a city administrator of Dagupan.

This after the Sangguniang Panlungsod passed the resolution confirming the appointment extended to him earlier by Mayor Brian Lim.

Mata replaced Alan Dale Zarate who was earlier designated by Lim as OIC city administrator. With Mata’s appointment, Zarate is back as City Assessor.

Mata addresses the city councilors after the confirmation of his appointment.

Mata was part of the Lim transition team before the new city administration took over the reins of the city government from the old. But he begged off to become the city administrator on account of his position as Director IV of the International Affairs Office of the Philippine Regulation Commission.

The resolution confirming Mata’s appointment as city administrator and department head was authored by Councilors Librada Reyna-Macalanda, Celia Lim and Cisco Flores.

“I am humbled to be selected once again to be a part of the Dagupan City government,” Mata said in accepting his confirmation.

Mata served as the city administrator of Paniqui, Tarlac before he assumed his post as Director IV of PRC. He served as the city administrator of the then Mayor Benjamin Lim for two terms. (Leonardo Micua)
