Pangasinan to donate P500-T for typhoon victims in Ilocos Norte
THE provincial government will donate P500, 000 cash assistance to the calamity-stricken victims in Ilocos Norte.
The provincial board approved Provincial Resolution No. 150-2019, extending financial assistance during its regular session on September 23 after Ilocos Norte was declared under a state of calamity on August 24 owing to damage wrought by Tropical Storm “Ineng.”
Authored by Sangguniang Panlalawigan member Angel M. Baniqued Jr., the resolution is in response the call of League of Provinces to aid the Province of Ilocos Norte in its relief, recovery and rehabilitation efforts.
Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Chief Rhodyn Lunchinvar Oro said that the cash assistance will be sourced from the calamity fund of the province. (PIO/SMDG)
