LINGAYEN—Job-seekers may have a chance to get employed outright in two job fairs slated here in March.

Sponsored by the provincial government through the Pangasinan Employment Service Office (PESO), the job fairs are set on March 7 and 28 at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center.

PESO-Pangasinan Officer Alex Ferrer said the two job fairs will be targeted on workers in the fields of health, medical, hotel and restaurant management.

He said he expects doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists, dentists, x-ray technicians, caregivers, pharmacy assistants and service crew to apply.

The successful job ap plicants will be deployed in the United States, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Canada, Australia and some European countries.

He pointed out that around 1.9 million foreign workers are needed in the Canadian labor market, adding that the Philippines is being eyed as the main source of these workers.

Job applicants are advised to bring two or more sets of resumes with attached pictures and photocopies of credentials.

If they qualify, they have a good chance of being hired on-the-spot, Ferrer said.—LM
