San Carlos City bags National Civil Registration Award
SAN CARLOS City’s Civil Registry Office was recently cited as the 3rd Outstanding Local Civil Registry Office in the Super Extra Large category in 2022. The award was presented during the 2nd Philippine Identity Summit and 3rd National Convention on September 28, 2023, at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City.
The recognition was received by Lourdes Llamas, the head of the city’s LCRO.
The award criteria were based on the volume of narrative reports and civil registration documents submitted to PSA Provincial Offices and Civil Registration Service from January 2022 to December 2022. This encompassed registrations for births, marriages, and deaths, all of which are essential components of civil registry paperwork.
Out of 51 LCROs nationwide, San Carlos’ Office of the Civil Registry submitted more than 10,000 documents, meeting one of the award’s requirements. (Kim Gealogo)
