Mayor Lim commended for competent management of pandemic

THE Sangguniang Panlungsod passed a resolution expressing “profound gratitude to outgoing Mayor Brian Lim for his sterling leadership and competent management of the city’s response to the coronavirus disease pandemic.”
Authored by Councilor Netu Tamayo, the resolution cited the contributions of Lim which he said are measured best, not so much in the programs and projects, but rather to his “dedication to work, in his commitment to excellence in his selfless public services and his overall distinguished career.”
The resolution cited the Lim administration’s efforts to beat the COVID-19 pandemic “under one of the most trying times throughout the world… which caused a humanitarian crisis of global proportion with billions of lives disrupted.”
It recognized the city mayor’s timely “hard and difficult choices but instituted honest, emphatic, clear and simple approach to addressing the global humanitarian pandemic” and acknowledged that “his competent management of the city’s response to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic have earned him rave reviews not only from fellow local executives but also regional and national officials,” the resolution read.
