GSIS reminds pensioners to file ARAS

By May 17, 2009Business, News

Beneficiaries of Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) are reminded to file their annual renewal of active status (ARAS) to ensure uninterrupted receipt of the monthly pension for retirement and survivorship.

To file the ARAS, pensioners must go to the nearest GSIS servicing office or the nearest government establishment installed with a GSIS Wireless Automated Processing System kiosk (G-W@PS kiosk) on their birth month with their eCard Plus.

GSIS staff will be on hand to assist in the use of G-W@PS.

Pensioners can also enroll in the new system called the GSIS Voice Activated Processing System or GVAPS and renew their active status by telephone.

Pensioners abroad can also renew their active status using GVAPS by calling the numbers 632-976-0860 or 632-884-7400.

GSIS beneficiaries now receive their monthly pension through the eCard Plus that works as an ATM card accepted in all Bancnet, Megalink or Expressnet machines or through select M. Lhuillier branches around the country.
