UL’s engineering grad is 7th topnotcher

A graduate of the University of Luzon (UL) placed 7th in the recent board examination for electrical engineers given by the Philippine Regulation Commission. Six other UL graduates passed the test.

Rufo V. Navarro from San Fabian, a 2007 graduate of UL who was forced to immediately find work after completing his studies due to financial difficulties, took the board exam in May this year and landed among the top ten placers.

Florentino Cuison, acting dean of UL’s College of Engineering, described Navarro as an above average student but was never nor a dean’s lister.

“We in UL are very proud of his achievement,” Cuison said.

The other new electrical engineers from UL are: Michael Vincent Caoile (Pozorrubio), Melbourne Caesar Escarlos (Urdaneta City), Elvin Fernandez (Lingayen), James Louis Jimenez (Malasiqui(, Marlo Lamsen (San Manuel), Angel Landicho (Mangaldan), Gilbert Mendoza (Villasis), Endrin Nival (Agno), Chester Oliveros (Urdaneta), Michael Quinto (Binmaley), Arnel Ramiscal (Sual), Jefferson Salangad (San Carlos City), Michael John Salcedo (Dagupan City), Randy Samson (Calasiao), Saccharine Sevilla (Infanta) and Arnel Solis (Calasiao).

UL also announced that 14 of the new civil engineers who passed the board examination this May were their students. They are Glovelene Ballesteros, Carlo de Vera, Erikson de Vera, Maria Linda Juan, Mark Gerald Mamaradlo, Michael Movilla, Sheina Octit, Michael Joferson Ortega, Danreb Patorin, Emer Pedro, Maricel Rabanal, Melody Sendaydiego, Jose Tabora Jr. and Mark Anthony Vidal.

Three graduates, Aristotle Escote, Johnson Gacad and Brenald Cuison, also recently passed the recent board exam for mechanical engineers while two more, Kristoffer Cyndal Ringor and Clover Rivera are new master electricians.#
