SJI teachers attend 2-day workshop
BAUTISTA—Faculty members of the St. John Institute located here attended a two-day refresher course aimed at improving their teaching skills.
The workshop, conducted by Susan M. Garcia — a trustee and former director of SJI and now owner of the Kids First School in Los Angeles, USA — focused on making teaching more effective through creative strategies and approaches that interplay with reading, phonetics, visuals, music movements and crafts.
Garcia said she is proud of SJI, which has been operating for 58 years, for producing graduates who become productive and successful members of society.
“Almost all the municipal employees are alumni of SJI,” said Garcia when she came home for the workshop, her first trip back since 20 years ago.
The SJI administration is headed by Dr Maria Salome Romero as president.
