Parada na Dayew showcases craftsmanship, ingenuity

LINGAYEN–The craftsmanship and ingenuity of Pangasinenses prevailed during the colorful parade of floats and energetic performances of street dancers at the Parada Na Dayew, a grand cultural parade highlighting the various festivals of Pangasinan towns during the 432nd founding anniversary celebration of Agew na Pangasinan last April 11.

The float design and street dance competition, which provided color and excitement to the Agew na Pangasinan celebration, was a huge success with the active involvement of some 5,000 participants from the local government units who brought out their artistic skills and innovative ideas through their beautifully designed floats and the creative execution of their choreography with the performers clad in colorful costumes.

The scorching heat of the sun did not dampen the energy of participants nor the spectators as the floats depicting the history and culture of their localities or showcasing their best products traversed the main thoroughfares of Lingayen town.  The street dancers swayed away the summer heat with their performances showcasing the various festivals of each participating town.
