New offices, new cars and additional firepower.

These are the promises made by Chief Supt. Luizo Ticman, Ilocos regional director, to the municipal and city police officers in the region as part of the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) Integrated Transformation Program.

In Pangasinan, Ticman cited the ongoing construction of a new police station in Dagupan City and the planned new headquarters for the 106th Provincial Mobile Group, currently in Alaminos City, to be relocated to Dasol, the hometown of PNP Chief Police Director General Jesus Verzosa.

The local governments provided the lot while the PNP covers the construction of the building, said Versoza during the Pangasinan Press and Radio Club Kapihan Media Forum Wednesday.

Ticman also announced that 37 police patrol vehicles are set to be distributed to various police stations to improve mobility and response action of the police in the region.

On firepower, 173 pieces of 9mm guns were distributed in December last year and more two-way radio communication equipment will also be installed across the region.#
