URDANETA CITY—Two dead men suspected to be drug personalities were found in Barangay Catablan this city on April 27.

P/Superintendent Neil Miro, officer-in-charge at the city police station, said the two bodies with bullet wounds, had two placards placed around them that read “Pusher ako, wag tularan.”

“In our initial assessment, the perpetrators could have been those who hate illegal drugs and want to relay a message that they should really stop illegal drugs,” Miro said.

He added the suspects used similar modus, killing the victims and dumping them in the area.

He said President Duterte is already nine months in power yet there are some who are still into illegal drugs despite his staunch anti-illegal drugs campaign.

Miro said the illegal drug problem here has dramatically declined by as much as 80 percent and the police are doing their best to make the city drug-free.

Isidro Lapeña, director general of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency hails this town.

Miro said there were 1,625 self-confessed drug personalities that surrendered last year and his station will revisit them to check on their activities and to validate if they have reformed. (Tita Roces)
