THE Dagupan Police is still facing a blank wall in its investigation of the slaying of an Indian national in an interior road in Barangay Bonuan Boquig by two unidentified men who were caught by a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera fleeing from the crime scene at past 12:15 p.m. Saturday on board a motorcycle.

The victim, Gurmeet Singh, 32, a businessman, of Sagud Baley, San Fabian, was on board his Honda Wave motorcycle traversing the interior road of Sitio Sta. Maria in Bonuan Boquig, when he was shot at close range by unidentified persons also on board a motorcycle.

The victim was rushed to the Region 1 Medical Center (R1MC) in Dagupan City where he was declared dead on arrival.

While the motive behind the killing has not been established, investigators believe the footage of the CCTV camera that caught the suspects escaping from the crime scene can lead them to the identities of the perpetrators.

Three fired cartridges and one slug of 9mm pistol and several blankets believe to be for delivery by the victim were recovered from the crime scene.

The wallet and cash on the victim was left intact. (Leonardo Micua)
