ALAMINOS CITY— Alaminos City’s Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) gathered the city’s out-of-school youths (OSY) to attend a forum training on health care and ill effects of illegal drugs.

Held at the Don Leopoldo Sison Convention Center, Alaminos City, the Unlad Kabataan Program tackled various topics including children’s rights, effects of child abuse, personal hygiene, etiquette.

The Alaminos City Police Station made a presentation on the ill effects of using drugs and criminal consequences while the City Health Office discussed tips on proper health and nutrition and how to avoid getting infected by sexually transmitted diseases.

The activity was geared at promoting the development of the OSY and other disadvantaged sectors to become self-reliant, economically productive and socially responsible citizens and contribute to the development of their families and to their communities, CSWDO head Imelda Ruiz said.

She added the re-elected Mayor Arthur Celeste is steadfast in his commitment of ensuring the best interest and general welfare of city’s youths through a series of training activities. (Johanne R. Macob)
