139 ADDITIONAL CLASSROOMS FOR 2016 – Mayor Belen T. Fernandez (center) together with the Policy and Legislation Unit Head of the League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) Ma. Veronica C. Hitosis (2nd from right), City Administrator Farah Marie G. Decano (not in photo) and City Engineer Virginia V. Rosario (left, partly hidden) visits Dagupan City National High School (DCNHS) to look for space for the construction of additional 60 classrooms for the school, which is part of the projected 139 classrooms to be constructed in different schools in Dagupan. The officials  came to the city to ascertain what kind of assistance the LCP can extend to the city in terms of lobbying with the national government agencies like the Department of Education for some funding to support the needs of senior high school. During the visit, LCP saw the urgency to build additional classrooms in time for the school opening in June, 2016. Fernandez is a member of the National Executive Board of the LCP.
