Manaoag fiesta features three sports events
MOUNTAIN bike race, boxing and amateur dance sports contest will be among the featured events during the Manaoag town fiesta on April 25-30.
Manaoag, which produced the province’s first national cycling champion in the person of Rufino Gabot, shifted its cycling interest to mountain bike racing 12 years ago. This year’s mountain bike race is scheduled on April 25.
Inspired by the success of Manny Paquiao in prizefighting, the pilgrimage city was also enticed to hold a boxing tourney dubbed as “Totoy Kamao”, on April 25.
Amateur dance sports competition is set on People’s Night on April 29 for teenagers only, 13-19 years old.
The three sports tiffs are exclusively for Manaoag residents. Cash prizes are up for grabs in each event.—JAG, Jr.
