Filipino-American medical practitioners will undertake three medical, surgical and dental missions in Pangasinan in February next year, announced Dr. Jesus Canto, director of Region 1 Medical Center.

Canto, who is helping organize the missions, said the Pangasinense doctors coming home to visit family and friends have volunteered to spend time and treat their less-fortunate kabaleyans who cannot afford hospitalization costs.

The overseas doctors will bring with them medicines as well as medical and dental equipment.

Canto said the first of these medical missions scheduled on February 3 to 9, will be led by Dr. Grace Duque-Dizon, along with Drs. Grace and Vic Bautista, all from Georgia, USA.

The second will be on February 11-16, to be led by Dr. Bong Busto and other Fil-Am doctors from California, U.S.A.

The third will on February 19-24 to be led by Dr. Jess Romero and one Dr. Simon, from Ohio.

The medical mission, which is also open to other vacationing medical practitioners, will be held at the Region 1 Medical Center on Arellano Street in Dagupan City.

Canto said there will be no limit on the number of patients who will be attended to by doctors, but emphasized that a first-come-first-served policy will be strictly observed. — A.P.E.
