ANOTHER eight mayors from various towns and cities in Pangasinan have officially joined the growing ranks of the Mayors for Good Governance (M4GG), a national movement of local leaders committed to transparency, integrity, and anti-corruption in government.

From having only one member in the province — Manaoag Mayor Jeremy “Doc Ming” Rosario – the organization now has nine.

The new Pangasinan members are: Dasol Mayor Rizalde Bernal, Anda Mayor Joganie Rarang, Mangaldan Mayor Bona Fe De Vera Parayno, Mangatarem Mayor Jensen Viray, San Quintin Mayor Farah Lee Lumahan, Aguilar Mayor Kristal Soriano, Rosales Mayor Liam Cezar, and Alaminos City Mayor Arth Bryan Celeste.

M4GG welcomed the new members, stating that their decision to join signals a clear commitment to integrity and accountability in local governance.

However, the group, in a statement, also stressed that membership comes with serious responsibility. “The principles of good governance must be upheld every day, and the welfare of the people should always come first in all policies and decisions,” it said.

The organization has gained national attention for exposing alleged irregularities in government programs and for pushing for ethical reforms in public service.

M4GG counts among its most prominent members Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, and Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte. (Ahikam Pasion)
