PUNCH Publisher-Editor Ermin laid to rest
WITH just an intimate group consisting of his wife, son, two sisters, a few relatives, and some close friends in attendance, PUNCH Publisher-Editor Ermin F. Garcia Jr. was laid to rest at his family’s mausoleum at the Mt. Zion Memorial Park in Dagupan City on September 1.
The blessing and inurnment of his remains, conducted by Fr. Allan Abuan, came just over a week after a memorial was held in his honor at the Star Plaza Hotel in Dagupan City on August 23.
Garcia died on July 23. He was 77.
Fr. Abuan also officiated a mass for the dead at the Archdiocesan Formation Center chapel in Bonuan Gueset, attended by Garcia’s wife Patricia, son Patrick, sisters Charisse Garcia-Chuidian, and Josie Garcia, and their relatives and friends.
The Garcia mausoleum is also the final resting place of PUNCH founder Ermin Sr., his wife Paulita, daughter Karina, and Mr. Chuidian.
Members of the Garcia family thanked all those who consoled them in their hour of bereavement. (Leonardo Micua)
