New PRO1 director starts station inspections
A day after officially assuming his post as acting director of the Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1), Police B/Gen Dindo Reyes promptly conducted his first round of inspections across police stations in Pangasinan on June 22.
Among those he visited were the stations in Manaoag, Pozorrubio, Urdaneta City, and Binalonan to assess the condition of facilities, ensure availability of resources, check personnel welfare, and identify operational challenges at the station level.
Reyes issued clear directives focusing on discipline, swift response, and public-oriented policing as mandated by the new National Police Chief Gen Nicolas Torre III.
The following day, June 23, Reyes led his first official flag-raising ceremony as the new head of PRO1 at Camp BGen Oscar M. Florendo.
“We will embrace proactive and responsive policing. No more delayed action. No more excuses. When someone calls for help, we arrive. We respond. We resolve,” he reiterated to the personnel, emphasizing the sacred duty of law enforcers to protect the community with honor and integrity.
Reyes also underscored the importance of strong internal discipline, unity within the ranks, and respect across all levels of the police force. Priority will also be given to ICT advancements and full digitalization of police operations as part of the modernization initiative.
During the ceremony, outstanding police personnel were recognized for their dedication and excellence, serving as an inspiration to the rest of the PRO1 community. (Eva Visperas)
