7 deaths due to dengue recorded in Pangasinan

THE Department of Health-Center for Health Development Region 1 (DOH-CHD1) continues to remind the public to remain vigilant against dengue fever following reports of 10 fatalities due to the mosquito-borne disease.

Seven of these deaths were in Pangasinan, one in Dagupan City, and two in La Union.

According to recent monitoring by DOH-CHD1, there are currently 2,095 suspected dengue cases across the region. Pangasinan has the highest number of cases with 945, followed by La Union with 454, Ilocos Sur with 402, Ilocos Norte with 202, and Dagupan City with 92 cases.

These cases were recorded from January to April 26, 2025.

However, DOH-CHD1 noted a downward trend in dengue cases for May. (Ahikam Pasion)
