DBM OKs 3 Dagupan supplemental budgets
THREE supplemental budgets passed and approved last year by the Dagupan Sangguniang Panlungsod under the control of minority councilors were declared by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) as substantially compliant with the Local Government Code and other applicable rules and regulations.
Supplemental Budget (SP) Numbers 5, 6 and 7 were found by the DBM regional office as “operative in their entirety,” based on separate letters signed by DBM Regional Director Ria Bansigan addressed to the Dagupan Sanggunian thru Mayor Belen Fernandez.
SP No. 5, under Appropriation Ordinance No. 2308-2024, sets P19 million for the purchase of hospital equipment needed by the City Health Office to boost services, and for the continuation of an evacuation center in Barangay Pugaro, which was stopped by the past Lim administration when it was still under its early stage of construction.
SP No. 6, under AO No. 2326-2024, covers P12.9 million for the 2024 one-time Service Recognition Incentive to qualified personnel by the provisions of Administrative Order No. 27-2024, dated December 12, 2023; while SP No. 7, under AO No. 2317-2024, appropriates P5.9 million for the gratuity pay to qualified contract service and job order workers of the Dagupan City government.
