No damage from magnitude 4.5 quake
AN earthquake with a 4.5 magnitude jolted several towns across Pangasinan at 5:42 p.m. on November 26, 2024, with the epicenter located in the town of Labrador, some 25 kilometers west of Dagupan City.
With a depth of 10 kilometers, it caused minor shaking that lasted for several seconds, prompting residents in affected areas to take necessary measures to protect themselves from harm.
No injuries nor significant damage to infrastructure were reported.
Based on data from the Intensity Meter in Dagupan City, the strongest shaking at Intensity IV was recorded in the towns of Labrador, Sual, Binmaley, and Lingayen, and Alaminos City.
Intensity III was felt in the towns of Bugallon, Bani, and Bolinao, while Intensity II was experienced in Dagupan City and Infanta. Parts of Lingayen reported lighter shaking at Intensity I.
Authorities assured the public that there was no immediate threat of aftershocks, but residents were advised to remain vigilant. ¸(Trisha Mae Visperas/ Intern)
