DAGUPAN City received four major awards during the 2024 Regional Peace and Order Council and Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Awarding Ceremony held on November 18 at the La Union Convention Center in San Fernando City.

The recognition program, based on set performance audits, gives honor to local governments for initiatives to uphold peace, maintain public safety, and fight illegal drugs.

Councilor Michael Fernandez and Interior and Local Government City Director Royoleta Rosario, representing Mayor Belen Fernandez, received three of the awards for the city: the High Performing City Peace and Order Council Award, High Functional City Anti-Drug Abuse Council Award, and Recognition for Outstanding Partnership with PDEA (Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Pantal Barangay Chair Julita Perez, meanwhile, received the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive Award under the Best Barangay category. (Leonardo Micua)
