‘Enteng’ leaves P127.5 million in damages across Pangasinan

SEVERE tropical storm ‘Enteng’ caused extensive damage in Pangasinan, with P127,591,454 in losses across agriculture, livestock, and infrastructure.

According to a terminal report from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office released on September 10, 2024, the storm left P56,571,354 in agricultural damages, P1,520,100 in livestock losses, and P69,500,000 in infrastructure destruction.

In response to the storm’s impact, Calasiao town has declared a state of calamity under Resolution No. 88, series of 2024, as several barangays remain flooded.

During the storm, various municipalities demonstrated preparedness by distributing food packs, setting up evacuation centers, providing hot meals, and offering other non-food items, among others.

As of September 10 at 5:00 p.m., San Roque Dam reported a water level of 262.10 meters above sea level (masl) with no gates open, while its spilling level stands at 280 masl.

The PDRRMO report showed that a total of 41,326 families and 164,159 individuals in 18 municipalities were affected
