A student of Baybay Elementary School in Binmaley town was recently adjudged ‘Outstanding Campus Journalist of the Philippines-Elementary Level in the recently concluded National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) 2024 held on July 8-12 in Carcar City, Cebu.

Baybay student Jose III Reloza said he felt overwhelmed as he didn’t expect he would even qualify in the NSPC.

While he didn’t win in the Copyreading in the Regional Schools Press Conference, he won the Campus Journalist of the Philippines plum, a separate competition.

Reloza, the sole representative of Region 1 to the NSPC, was interviewed by the panelists and validated the documents he presented.

He said he wants to become a journalist someday. (Eva Visperas)
