Binmaley adopts four-day working schedule

THE Binmaley local government, under Mayor Pedro Merrera III, has begun implemented a four-day working schedule in its offices on Monday, April 22, due to intense hot temperatures, as heat index in the province continues to sizzled to dangerous levels.

The revised working schedule will continue until June 30 this year.

From its usual Monday to Friday 8AM to 5PM schedule, working hours are now from Monday to Thursday only , from 8a.m. to 6 p.m.

Government offices, with the exemption of basic and necessary services, are closed during Fridays.

Among those exempted from said revised working arrangement are: Office of the Economic Enterprise and Slaughterhouse (with continuous operation from Monday to Sunday), MDRRMO, Utility Workers, Waste Management and Traffic Management.

As of Tuesday, April 23, heat index has logged at 47 degrees Celsius.  (Ahikam Pasion)
