Governor echoes Christmas message of unity
IN a heartwarming display of unity, Governor Ramon Guico III delivered a Christmas message that resonated during the enchanting 2023 Capitol Christmas Lighting on December 1st at the Capitol Plaza in Lingayen.
The event, attended by a multitude of on-site spectators and an even larger online audience, including board members and mayors from different towns, infused the Capitol area with festive joy as Governor Guico’s call for unity and collaboration echoed.
“Let us stand united as Pangasinense,” urged the governor, underscoring the significance of working harmoniously as a province as he stressed his administration’s unwavering commitment to excellence across all facets of development.
To realize this vision, Governor Guico encouraged local chief executives to transcend political differences and collaborate with each other effectively. He stressed that rallying behind common goals and objectives is imperative for the progress of Pangasinan.
Vice Governor Mark Lambino, in an interview with local journalists, affirmed the governor’s consistent plea for unity, especially during the initial weeks of his tenure back in 2022.
“During the politically charged season of 2022, where divisions were evident even among LGU leaders, Governor Guico immediately called for unity,” said Lambino.
Highlighting the governor’s proactive approach, Lambino emphasized that once political differences are set aside, public servants can fully embrace their role as servants of the people.
Lambino cautioned against the potential loss of opportunities if divisions persist due to political differences. He cited the Sangguniang Panlalawigan’s all-out support for the governor’s commendable initiatives for Pangasinan, including the construction of the Pangasinan Link Expressway.
“With the unwavering support of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, we have successfully secured the largest infrastructure development contract in the province of Pangasinan within just a year of the governor’s term,” Lambino proudly declared. (Eva Visperas)
