All BSKE victors in 1,364 barangays proclaimed
THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced the completion of the proclamation of all winners in the recent Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) in Pangasinan.
Atty. Marino Salas, provincial election supervisor, said all winners in the 1,364 barangays in Pangasinan have been proclaimed, including a winner in Barangay Lobong in San Jacinto, whose victory was determined by drawing lots due to tied numbers.
The first proclaimed winner was in Barangay Malico, San Nicolas town.
Voter turnout in the province reached 2.1 million, which is considered very high, since 2.2 million voters are registered in Pangasinan for the BSKE while 788,175 are registered for the Sangguniang Kabataan elections.
Meanwhile, Salas encouraged all candidates to remove their campaign posters within five days after the elections and to promptly file their respective Statements of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) by November 29. (Ahikam Pasion)
