COMELEC posts official list of voters in Dagupan

THE official list of voters in Dagupan City for the October 30 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections slated is available for verification by registered voters.
Atty. Michael Franks Sarmiento, Dagupan City Election Officer, said the list was made available on Thursday, August 10, at the COMELEC Dagupan Office.
Sarmiento urged Dagupeños to come to their office and verify if they are listed to ensure that they can vote during the BSKE, and avoid confusion at the polling centers.
He also reminded candidates for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan positions to file their Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) during the prescribed period, August 28 to September 2 at the Dagupan City People’s Astrodome.
He said no COC will be accepted at the Comelec office.
Meanwhile, Sarmiento revealed that there will be 380 ballot boxes in Dagupan City for the BSKE finally, not just 300 ballot boxes as earlier reported.
Dagupan City has the highest number of voters in the entire region –142,000 voters for the Barangay Elections, and 50,000 for the Sangguniang Kabataan Elections in the city’s 31 barangays. (Ahikam Pasion)
