A MASSIVE barangay and school-based anti-dengue campaign was launched in Dagupan City last Monday, August 14, to protect residents of Dagupan, especially children, from dengue.
Mayor Belen Fernandez thanked S.C. Johnson & Sons and Granville Supply Chain Management Inc. for their timely donation of 4,300 pieces Baygon multi-insect spray in the anti-dengue campaign to be implemented by anti-dengue brigade from the City Health Office.
The anti-dengue campaign was launched in time for the opening of classes on August 22.
The campaign urges residents to eliminate all stagnant water in their respective areas that could serve as breeding grounds for mosquitoes while the mayor called on barangay captains to keep their areas clean and sanitary.
She said the CHO is making home visits in every barangays to see if there are residents getting sick so that they can be given immediate treatment and medicines. (Leonardo Micua)
