4 more towns declare State of Calamity
AFTER DAGUPAN, CALASIAO
ASIDE from Dagupan City and Calasiao town, four other municipalities have declared a state of calamity due to the aftermath of Typhoon Egay on their respective areas.
Sta. Barbara and Mangatarem local government units also declared their towns under a state of calamity on July 31 and Binmaley on August 2.
Mangaldan declared its own State of Calamity on August 3
Meanwhile, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) reported on August 2, that there were 496 partially and totally damaged houses in some areas in Pangasinan.
In Dagupan City, there were 27 houses totally damaged and 298 partially damaged; Calasiao had 5 totally damaged and 18 partially damaged; Sta. Barbara had only 5 partially damaged while Mangatarem had 1 partially damaged house.
No damaged house in Binmaley was reported.
But 54 totally damaged houses and 443 partially damaged were recorded in Aguilar, Alaminos City, Alcala, Bani, Basista, Bautista, Bayambang, Binalonan, Bugallon, Labrador, Lingayen, Malasiqui, Mangatarem, Mapandan, Manaoag, San Fabian, San Manuel, Sta. Maria, Tayug, Urbiztondo and Urdaneta City by the PDRRMO.
PDRRMO report also showed a total of P69,370,781.79 damage to agriculture; P1,794,796 damage to livestock and 34,900,000 damage to infrastructure. (Eva Visperas)
