“All provincial and local vaccination operation centers (P/LVOCs) implementing units and hospitals, are ready and prepared for the roll-out and deployment of vaccination teams in their respective areas,” Regional Director Paula Paz M. Sydiongco said.

A total of 3910 bivalent vials were allocated for Region 1. Pangasinan received 1,012 vials, Ilocos Sur with 521, Ilocos Norte – 315, La Union – 217 and Dagupan City with 210

The bivalent Covid vaccines were initially rolled-out in public health facilities in  Pangasinan: Region 1 Medical Center (356), Conrado Estrella Regional Medical and Trauma Center (53), Pangasinan Provincial Hospital (130), La Union Provincial Health Office (196), Lingayen District Hospital (50), Western Pangasinan District Hospital (35), Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital (35), Bayambang District Hospital (35), and Urdaneta District Hospital (35).

Sydiongco said the COVID-19 Vaccine Pfizer Bivalent roll-out employs a phased approach to prioritize the protection of the healthcare workers and of the most vulnerable population, while expansion of stock availability is being pursued.

Facility-based implementation shall be observed for the initial roll-out in select sites such as hospitals, and city/rural health units and facilities with initial allocation of vaccines once vaccination teams and vaccination sites are in place.

“We are still in the Covid stage and new cases are still being recorded. This bivalent vaccine will serve as your third booster shot to further strengthen the body’s immune system and also update your Covid vaccination,” she added. (DOH)
