Pangasinan PPO leads in weekly accomplishments of PRO1

THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office led all four police provincial offices in accomplishments at the Police Region Office 1 Office, from December 19 to 25.

This was gleaned from the weekly report of PRO 1 released by P/Brigadier General John Chua, police regional director.

The report showed the Pangasinan PPO arrested five most wanted persons and 11 other wanted persons; Ilocos Sur PPO nabbed three most wanted persons and four other wanted persons; Ilocos Norte PPO, four most wanted persons and eight other wanted persons while La Union PPO did not register any arrest on most wanted persons and other wanted persons.

On the other hand, the Regional Police Mobile Battalion 1 arrested one classified under the category of other wanted persons.

In the campaign against illegal drugs, the Pangasinan PPO accounted for seven of the 10 suspects arrested in the region while the Ilocos Norte PPO and Ilocos Sur PPO arrested one suspect each.

A total of 3,135 grams of shabu with street value of P21,318.00 was seized in nine operations in the region.

In the campaign against loose firearms, the police in Region 1 conducted five operations that led to the arrests of five persons, confiscated five firearms, 1 ammunition, with 12 firearms deposited, logged 38 surrendered firearms and recovered one UXO.

Both the Pangasinan and La Union PPOs conducted one operation each against illegal gambling and both arrested seven persons, filed two cases in court and confiscated P956 bets.

In the campaign against communist terrorists, PRO1 recorded 12 surrendered CTGs and Communist Front Organizations; four surrendered to the La Union PPO, three to the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 1, three to the Ilocos Sur PPO and one each to the Pangasinan PPO and Ilocos Norte PPO.
