SP hearing okays P5.3 billion
PROPOSED 2023 PROVINCIAL BUDGET
THE Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) is expected to pass the ordinance adopting the proposed annual budget, the proposed AIP and their integral plans during its regular session on November 7 after a budget hearing conducted on November 3, attended by department heads led by Provincial Administrator Melecio Patague II, endorsed the proposed 2023 annual budget for Pangasinan amounting to P5,309,64,809.
A post on Facebook account said Gov. Ramon Guico III was present at the November 3 hearing but there was no statement from him about the proposed budget.
Patague said the proposed budget was based on the presentations and discussions during the series of committee hearings attended by department heads of the provincial government.
Also proposed for 2023 is an Annual Investment Plan (AIP): P1,890,882,207 for General Public Services; P2,229, 750,801 for Social Services; and P1,188,624,101. (Leonardo Micua)
