AVERAGE cases of COVID-19 cases in Pangasinan have increased minimally, the new average for the period October 19 to 25 was up to 20 cases, from previous seven-day daily average of 18 logged from October 12 to 18.

The data was released on October 25 by the Provincial Health Office (PHO).

This confirmed the report of OCTA Research that Pangasinan was among the seven provinces in the country whose COVID-19 positivity rate was observed to be increasing. The other provinces are Cagayan, Iloilo, Isabela, La Union, Misamis Oriental and Tarlac.

The PHO reported 192 active cases, 19 on October 25 alone; 166 of these active cases were in 44 towns and three cities of the province, and 26 in Dagupan.

Presently, only seven out of the 44 towns and four cities of Pangasinan, remain Covid-free, namely: Anda, Balungao, Binalonan, Mabini, Mapandan, Natividad and San Quintin.

Cities and municipalities in the PHO watchlist as of October 25 are: Dagupan City, 26 cases; San Carlos City, 21; Bayambang, Calasiao and Malasiqui, 12 each; Lingayen, 11; Urdaneta City, 9; Pozorrubio and Sta.
