Comelec-Dagupan logs over 4K new voters

THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Dagupan City registered 4,295 new voters during the conduct of its voter’s registration.

Lawyer Michael Franks Sarmiento, election officer at Comelec-Dagupan City, said 75% of those who registered are youth voters.

The new registrants were 2,259 (15-17 years old), 631 (18-30 years old) and 295 (31 years old).

The remaining 1,110 registrants were transferees and for reactivation.

The figure brought the total number of voters in the city to 143,016.

During the 2022 National and Local Elections, Dagupan City has the highest number of registered voters in the province of Pangasinan with 138,721.  (PIA Pangasinan/AMMB)
