COMELEC profile reactivation now online
FOR DEACTIVATED VOTERS
WITH the start of the Voters’ Registration for the 2022 Barangay and SK polls on December 5, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) also reopened its profile reactivation system.
The reactivation process is for voters who had been classified as ‘deactivated’ by the system due to their failure to vote for two consecutive elections.
Atty. Michael Franks Sarmiento, Dagupan City Election Officer said, individuals with ‘deactivated’ status may still be reactivated as long as their names are still in the COMELEC system database.
Individuals seeking to reactivate their voting status should visit Comelec’s official Facebook page: Commission on Election Dagupan City, Pangasinan, and leave a message seeking reactivation.
They may also send an email at pangasinan.dagupancity@comelec.gov.ph.
“We will reply to guide the voters in the revalidation process,” said Sarmiento.
The COMELEC’s online reactivation process includes reactivation of voting records, correction of entries; transfers; and updating of records among PWDs, senior citizens, and others.
A voter registration form is available for download at comelec.gov.ph. After filling out the files and scanning it (if a soft copy is not available), send it to the email address stated above.
The Office of the Election Officer (OEO) will confirm the receipt of the mail and documents, to be followed by an online interview, personal appearance (if biometrics have been corrupted or are incomplete), and provision of additional documents if need be. (Ahikam Pasion)
