Meet Pangasinan’s new chief executives

THE May 9 elections in Pangasinan still had few surprises, but most were not surprising at all.

The province will see 23 new mayors and 25 reelected mayors that will assume their posts noontime of June 30. But the new mayors are not themselves entirely new since most are from the same political families that ruled the towns or are merely returning to their old posts.

Comelec data shows that the new mayors are Kristal Soriano (Aguilar), Facundo Palafox Jr (Bani), Joseph Espino (Bautista), Niña Jose-Quiambao (Bayambang), Ramon Ronald Guico IV (Binalonan), Pedro Merrera (Binmaley), Allan Valenzuela (Burgos), Mamilyn Caramat (Calasiao), Belen Fernandez (Dagupan City);

Rizalde Bernal (Dasol), Ernesto Acain (Labrador), Colin Reyes (Mabini), Jeremy Agerico Rosario (Manaoag), Bonafe Parayno (Mangaldan), Karl Christian Vega (Mapandan), Kelvin Chan (Pozorrubio), Liam Cezar (Rosales), Marlyn Agbayani (San Fabian), Florence Tiu (San Quintin), Sta. Barbara (Carlito Zaplan), Dickerson Villar (Sto. Tomas), Tyrone Agabas (Tayug), Modesto Operania (Urbiztondo).

Those who held the same post in previous years and rested for a term or two or sought different positions are Fernandez, Acain, Parayno, Zaplan and Agabas.

The twenty-five reelected mayors are Gualberto Sison (Agno), Arth Bryan Celeste (Alaminos City), Jojo Callejo (Alcala), Joganie Rarang (Anda), Carlos Lopez Jr (Asingan), Riza Peralta (Balungao), JR Resuello (Basista), Alfonso Celeste (Bolinao), Priscilla Espino (Bugallon), Marvin Martinez (Infanta), Ricardo Balderas (Laoac),

Leopoldo Bataoil (Lingayen), Noel Geslani (Malasiqui), Ramil Ventanilla (Mangatarem), Ruby Rafael (Natividad), Julier Resuello (San Carlos City), Leo de Vera (San Jacinto), Kenneth Marco Perez (San Manuel), Alicia Primicias-Enriquez (San Nicolas), Julius Ramos (Sta. Maria), Danilo Uy (Sison), Liseldo Calugay (Sual), Julio Parayno III (Urdaneta City), Michael Carleone Cruz (Umingan) and Nonato Abrenica (Villasis).
