Shortened curfew still retained in Pangasinan

NEW PROVISIONS UNDER ALERT LEVEL 1

SHORTER curfew will continue to be enforced in Pangasinan following the downgrading of the province’s risk status to Alert Level 1 from March 1 to 15 by the national Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).

In his Executive Order No. 0015-2022, Governor Amado Espino III still retained the curfew but reset it at from 12:00 midnight to 4:00 a.m. (originally from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00a.m. during Alert Level 2).

The salient provisions of the governor’s latest EO are:

  1. Authorized Persons Outside of their Residence (APORs), are exempted from the curfew provided that this is in pursuit of their respective work.
  2. Face masks must be used properly at all times except when eating and drinking.
  3. All sports in venues where ventilation standards can be maintained are allowed, i.e., outdoor sports/ exercise activities where physical distance can be maintained.
  4. All private offices and workplaces may now operate at full 100% capacity, consistent with national issuances on vaccination requirements for on-site work.
  5. Agencies and instrumentalities of the government shall now adhere to 100% on-site workforce.

Other provisions of the EO:

  1. There must be regular disinfection of high-risk areas such as but not limited to areas for gatherings, highly touched surfaces, and frequently visited areas.
  2. Establishments must ensure adequate air and ventilation.
  3. Establishments must install/maintain visual cues or signages on mask wearing, hand hygiene, DOH hotlines, and other health and safety reminders.
  4. Checking of body temperature prior to entry in any establishment is optional.
  5. Individuals, who are 18 years old and above, are required to present proof of vaccination before participating in mass gatherings, entering indoor establishments, i.e., religious activities for neurological services, wakes inurnment and funerals.
  6. No proof of full vaccination is required for indoor dine-in services, kiosks, commissaries, restaurants and eateries; for outdoor or al fresco dining and take-out channels.
  7. The EO requires all component LGUs to ensure unhampered movement of all types of goods and cargo.
  8. Full seating capacity is allowed in public transportation units provided that if the point of origin or destination has a higher level classification and prescribes lower seating capacity, the latter shall prevail.
  9. Testing will not be recommended for asymptomatic close contacts  unless symptoms develop, and should immediately isolate regardless of test results. (Leonardo Micua)
