Dagupan’s BBNHS school starts F2F classes, March 21
THE Department of Education (DepEd) Dagupan City Schools Division Office (SDO) is gearing up for the resumption of limited face-to-face classes come Monday, March 21.
In an interview Thursday, March 17, DepEd Dagupan Superintendent Dr. Aguedo Fernandez said almost all public elementary and high schools in the city, save for Salisay Elementary School, have already sent their letters of intent, but only one has been given the green light to operate on Monday: Bonuan Boquig National High School (BBNHS).
“Other schools are still completing other requirements. Only BBNHS and the others have completed, but BBNHS have complied first, making them the first in Dagupan to resume in-person classes on March 21”, said Fernandez.
Other Dagupan schools set to begin their limited face-to-face classes between March 28 to April 4 are West Central Elementary School 2, Pugaro Integrated School, Suit Elementary School, Bonuan Boquig elementary School, and Lomboy Elementary School.
Meanwhile, Fernandez said no private schools in Dagupan City will resume their limited face-to-face classes since most of them are still in their fourth quarter of the school year but are expected to resume as well.
Fernandez assured that all school staff, both teaching and non-teaching personnel tasked to join face-to-face classes are fully vaccinated, however, parents’ consent are needed by students returning in face-to-face classes. They will then be divided into batches.
She assured that blended modality learning will be applied to benefit both in-person and students at home meaning when next batch goes to school, the other stays home. Classes will only be conducted from Monday to Thursday because Friday will be dedicated for disinfection. (Ahikam Pasion)
