BBM, UniTeam barnstorms Pangasinan
PRESIDENTIAL aspirant Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr., along with the UniTeam senatorial slate completed its two-day sorties in Pangasinan with a grand rallies on February 26 and 27.
As the third province in the country with the highest voting population, Pangasinan is also a part of Region 1, the bailiwick of Marcos.
Marcos’ running mate Inday Sara Duterte, however, was unable to attend the rally. She already made her way into the province the previous week.
Tagging along Marcos in his rally were House Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta, Atty. Larry Gadon, former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, Senator Migz Zubiri, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, Senator Jinggoy Estrada, and former Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista.
Marcos’ party began his Pangasinan sortie in Alaminos City, home to the Celestes, a major political clan, who aligned themselves with the Team AGUILA, a coalition between incumbent 5th District Representative Ramon Guico III and incumbent Vice Governor Mark Lambino to challenge the political juggernaut of incumbent Governor Amado I. Espino III and 2nd District Board Member Nestor Reyes for the governor and vice governor posts.
Marcos and his senatorial slate also met with Gov. Espino at the provincial capitol in Lingayen town, accompanied by 2nd District Representative Jumel Anthony Espino, and Lingayen Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil, President of Pangasinan’s League of Municipalities.
In Dagupan City, Mayor Marc Brian Lim expressed his support and joined the UniTeam in his eastbound motorcade towards Binalonan, Guico’s hometown, where the final rally on February 26 was held.
Sunday’s caravan started in Eastern Pangasinan, as politicians aligned with Team Aguila flocked to BMM’s caravan and motorcade.
This ended in a grand concert at the Saint Vincent Ferrer Prayer Park in Bayambang town. (Ahikam Pasion)
