Pangasinan leads vaccination in Region 1
NATIONAL COVID-19 VACCINATION DAYS
PANGASINAN reported the highest number of persons vaccinated in the region during the three-day Bayanihan Bakunahan National COVID-19 Vaccination Days (November 29 to December 1) and resulted in the increase in the number of fully vaccinated persons in the Pangasinan to 760,315 or 35 percent of the eligible population.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) reported that 1,270,872 persons or 58 percent of the eligible population already received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The PHO set up vaccination sites: November 29 – Alaminos City (Barangays Tawin Tawin, Poblacion and Lucao); Urbiztondo (Barangay Sawat); at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center in Lingayen, and Robinson’s Place in Calasiao.
November 30 – Infanta (Barangay Cato); Bugallon (Poblacion); Binmaley (Camaley) and Urdaneta City.
December 1 – Agno (Poblacion); Urbiztondo (Barangay Gueteb); Mangatarem (Barangays Olo and Bulalacao); in Mangatarem and in Sta. Barbara.
The vaccination complemented the vaccination conducted by rural health units in their towns during the three-day National Vaccination Days.
All these efforts led to the vaccination of 240,999 persons, enabling Pangasinan to be the leading performing province in Region 1 during three-day NVD. (Leonardo Micua/Eva Visperas)
