28 learners in private school in Alaminos join pilot run

FOR FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES

TWENTY-eight learners from 100 Islands Cowboy Christian Learning Center, Inc., a private school in Alaminos City joined the opening day for the limited pilot run of the face-to-face classes of the Department of Education for private schools nationwide on November 22.

The school, located in Barangay Victoria, is the only private school in Pangasinan chosen to join in the implementation of the limited pilot run of in-person classes.

Alaminos City Schools Division Superintendent Lorna Bugayong said the school was prepared and the opening was successful after teachers and the students held a simulation class on November 21.

The participating learners are from Kindergarten to Grade 3.

Bugayong said the teachers and other school personnel, the learner’s parents and guardians assisting the school children, are all fully vaccinated.

The area is also COVID-free, she added.

She said the same assessment tool applied by the Department of Health in choosing Longos Elementary School in Barangay Pangapisan also in Alaminos, a public school, was applied in the private school.

“So far, so good. We are happy to see the kids’ happy faces again in going to school,” she added.

Bugayong thanked the collaboration of stakeholders to make pilot run of the limited face-to-face classes went smoothly and well. (Eva Visperas)
