San Manuel logs 28 new COVID cases

SAN MANUEL town logged 28 new confirmed cases, its highest ever single-day tally, according to the town’s official Facebook page post Thursday night.

Among those tested positive were a pregnant nurse frontliner, a policeman, and a teacher.

The youngest COVID-tested is a one-year-old baby boy while the oldest is an 85-year-old grandmother.

Other young patients included three boys aged nine, 12 and 13 and two girls, aged seven and 13.

Most of the patients were infected by their family members who were exposed to their sick co-workers or had travel history.

The patients are under close monitoring by the Local Health Authority.

The town had a total of 74 active cases as of Sept. 23. (Eva Visperas)
